And... we're back!

With the Coronavirus pandemic, it's been a crazy year for everyone. And, I hope this post finds you and your family well. It's been a scary and confusing time, that has stolen a year from us all in some aspects.

Confined to my home, amidst the confusion, my work on Wolfsbane, the sequel the my first book The Wolf Throne, ground to a halt. My partner, who adores the outside, struggled a little with the lockdown, and I found myself spending more time with her and far less on writing. As lockdown progressed, and both in need of a creative outlet, we founded an amateur film review blog, entitled Lockdown Film Reviews. (It's available to check out here. Though we have since stopped updating it.) We ended up reviewing over 75 films, and though burnout took it's toll, at the very beginning our overly ambitious aim was to review a film five days a week. While the beginning posts are cringeworthy as I struggled to find a tone, I am proud of the work we did. It was fun (at times) and different, and gave us something to do.

I also released another book! Well, a novella, to be precise. The Diary of a Madman in a Crazy Place. It's a silly story with perhaps a bit of hidden depth. I'd initially written it as a gift for Valentine's Day, but my generous partner told me I should publish it.

And that was my lockdown. A new website, a film blog and a novella. As I said at the beginning, I hope this post finds you all well. And hopefully, 2021 will be the turning point and we can all find some normality once more.
